The Elements, Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Ether comprise our physical world. The Prana of our mortal incarnation gathers them in combination while we live. They are released when our Prana can no longer hold them and then we expire. The approach of healing with the Elements seeks to bring them into balance when one or more of them are in excess or deficient. Healing in this way can apply to our physical system as well as to the way we relate with everything.
When we study the Elements as a healing modality we become aware of their presence and impact in relation with the healing event. With our intention we can then modify the alchemical soup of the system and bring about balance.
Healing with Elements is fast and impactful, though not as precise as with other contemplative forms of healing. It is used to produce quick and powerful results. Practicing this art will produce a deep knowledge of the nature of the Elements and help us to master them for the purpose of healing.
Look for the next workshop on this important modality.
We held a Meditation and Sat Nam Rasayan® Healing Workshop with Hari Nam Singh at the RAMA Yoga Institute in Venice, CA. The topic of the workshop was “Shuniya”. It was a basic course in Sat Nam Rasayan®. We practiced opening the space, finding silence in the space, and relating with the event.
Clasp hands at the heart. Left hand fingers cover right hand.
Chant the mantra Ang Sang Waheguru. Use the tongue to produce pressure on the upper palate, without touching. Vibrate the mantra there. Hold the sound there, feel the resistance, and release it. You will see everything from the inside. 31 min.
Bend the left elbow into the side of the body. Bring the forearm up towards the chest as far as it will go, palm facing the body. Then bend the palm back flat on the wrist, so it is parallel to the ceiling. The right arm is extended straight out in front of the body, no bend in the elbow, palm flat and facing the floor. Both the right arm and the left flattened palm should be level with each other. Hold the position.
Eyes: Closed.
Focus: Focus your closed eyes on the top of your skull, the soft spot you had when you were a baby. (The spot you exit through at death.)
Breath: Breathe long, slow and deep and very consciously.
Guru Dev Mata, Guru Dev Pita by Gurujiwan Singh, Wahe Guru Kaur & Sangeet Kaur
Time: 19 minutes.
End: Inhale deeply, hold the breath and make your hands like steel (just the hands from shouders onward), squeeze and tighten them. Bring the spine into the lining. (Hold 25 seconds.) Exhale. Inhale a second time. (Hold 10 seconds.) Exhale. Inhale deep a third time, and this time squeeze the entire body. (Hold 20 seconds.) Exhale and relax.
Comments/Effects: The left hand in this position, represents our initial brain. In this kriya, the posture means, “Initiallly you must hold yourself.” When you read in the Bible, the word ‘Behold,’ it really means ‘hold yourself,’ nothing else. The right extended arm is saying, ‘Your extension must bless.’ When you bless, God shall bless you. That’s the promise.
Technically, make sure the hands remain at the same level, and it will effect you very powerfully.

Bless the planet Earth and let the heavens descend in you.
Lecture:
If we can bring our mind to our stability and meditative Infinity, and we’ll try to relax, and for everything we ask ourself, ”Is it noble?” ”Is it noble?” ”Am I noble?” ”What I am doing is noble?” ”Is it taking me to nobility?”
Don’t decide what is reality. Don’t decide what is wrong, don’t decide, don’t judge. Don’t take the Adam’s guilt and spread it to you and to your generation. Don’t ruin your seed.
Just ask one word, “My beautiful, bountiful, blissful God has made to me, find my nobility.” And use your all ability to find your nobility. You’ll be shocked! You will realize that we have a companionship with God and moment you realize there is a companionship between you and God, and it becomes real to you, it’s very, very, very bewitching.
Because what all is outside of you, it is also inside you. Things you can say and things you can do may not mean anything. But things you can project and reflect may affect all the universe.
The knowledge, the courage, the character, the conception which you have, that is beyond Divinity. God seeks the company of such men and woman who have achieved that being defined, has found Infinity.
Nanak das door mangay
Nanak asked the dust of the lotus feet of those who repeat the grace, the glory, and makes others to do the same.
Because there is nothing which can limit you and there is nothing which you cannot have because God is Infinity and you are finite. And when your finite is confined within your finite, you have already closed all doors to opportunity and ecstasy. But the moment you open up to Infinity, you become Infinity. And this is what Age of Aquarius is. You all shall die in vain and insane, as Pisceans, if you do not enter in the Age of Aquarius with width, with vastness, with openness.
You have to be vast, open, noble, courageous, selfless. You have to stop having vengeance with your own self. Limiting your own self is a very vengeful act.
So let us see tonight what we can do. It’s a very special sacred kriya. It’s called “Shunya Kaal Karni Kriya.”
Yogi Bhajan – TCH2012 960727 – Warrior’s Exercise for Opening the Energy into the Shushmana & Balancing the Hemispheres of the Brain
Warm-ups: Sit with a straight spine, and extend your arms out to the sides, parallel to the ground. Begin wiggling the fingers, twisting the hands, bending the arms, stretching the elbows, for a few minutes before you begin. This is an important part of this exercise. Time for warm-ups: just a minute or so.
Dhuni
Mudra: Stretch your arms out to the sides, parallel to the ground. Make your palms flat, facing forward, and the fingers spread wide apart. Come to a balance in this position. The muscles of the body should hold the weight of the arms, to perform the exercise. This position is your base.
Cross hands a few inches behind the head and then back to sides, 4x, elbows straight (sat nam sat nam sat nam ji). Alternate right hand in front of left, then left in front.
Cross Hands at wrists about 12 inches in front of Head and then back to sides, 4x, elbows
Alternate right hand in front of left, the left in front (waheguru waheguru waheguru ji)
Eyes are closed.
Continue in this fashion 3 min to (unspecified). 3 min is enough to introduce the meditation without spacing out too much.
Comments/Effects: This is a warrior‟s exercise, and can call upon a lot of inner strength and determination. The warm-ups are an essential part of this meditation; sometimes the nerves, muscles & bones get locked up, and the warm-ups will help loosen them. Without that, you may experience muscle pain the next day.
In the starting position, keep the arms in balance, letting the weight of the arms be held up by the muscles of the body (as opposed to the muscles of the arms doing all the work). This will cause a movement in the central nerve, the „shushmana‟, in the inner spinal chord. If held in the proper position, you will begin to feel a tingling of energy.
Yogi Bhajan refers to the behind the head position as your “Sat Nam,” and he calls it your original “Oriental Self,” your earth, your spine.
He refers to the front of head position as your “Wahe Guru,” your God, your front face. “There are only two things on this planet — “Sat Nam” is your back; “Wahe Guru” is your front.”
Remember, angle is very important in Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini Yoga is a series of angles, triangles, which cut the squares. They say in astrology when you have a “square,” it means trouble. Kundalini Yoga deals with angles to diagonally cut the squares, which means cutting the bad luck.
After a few minutes of practice, you‟ll reach a stage called, “The Twilight Zone,” and then there‟ll be huge pain. You will feel you are hurting, because the hemispheres of the brain have to adjust; but soon the endorphins will be released, and you won‟t want to stop. That‟s how it will be if we keep on doing it.
When you feel superior you bore everybody with yourself—a lot of air with no purpose. All our problems—jealousy, insecurity, fears and mistrust, come from our inferiority complex. People have problems because they cannot connect up to Infinity. Society does not trust a yo-yo. Show your worth, and prove that you are trust worthy. Wherever you go, your reputation goes ahead of you. In life, to be worthy, you should be trustworthy to the entire universe. Professionally you are getting ready for the Aquarian Age. I hope you will not let down the global consciousness. You are needed by the world now.

1. Sit straight in a cross-legged position. The right hand is held up beside the right shoulder with the elbow relaxed down. Lock the first two fingers close together pointing upwards, and use the thumb to hold the other two. The left hand rests on your heart. Eyes are closed.
Sing from the navel Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo by Nirinjan Kaur. Continue for 31 minutes.
Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo – Nirinjan Kaur
Inhale deeply, hold, exhale like cannon fire through the nostrils. Repeat 2 more times.
2. Same posture but switch hands. Chant from the navel Wahe Guru, Wahe Jio by Sangeet Kaur and Harjinder Singh (from Raga Sadhana).
Wahe Guru Wahe Jio – Sangeet Kaur
Continue for 11 minutes divided in three parts: first part loudly, second part whispering, last part in deep silence. “In silence you speak in yourself and you must hear by your ears. God will give you the power to hear the unknown sounds of the world—you can talk with birds and animals and humans alike.”
3. Same posture. Chant from the navel Sat Narayan by Jasbir Kaur.
Sat Narayan – Jasbir Kaur
After 2 minutes bring the hands in prayer mudra in front of your chest. Continue chanting as you press the hands together for another 2 minutes.
4. Chant 5 times from the navel Har Har Har Har Gobinde by Nirinjan Kaur.
Sit in easy pose. Extend the forearms straight out in front of the body with the elbows bent. Raise the forearms up and in toward the chest until they are pointing up at the ceiling and close the hands into fists with the thumbs pointing up. Now firmly press the forearms together from the bottoms of the elbows to the tops of the fists. Lock the thumbs in place and hold them very stiffly. This will probably become a very uncomfortable arm position. Just go through the pain and don’t give an inch.
Eyes are 9/10 closed, looking at the tip of the nose.
Deeply inhale in a long slow breath. Hold the breath in as long as is possible. Totally exhale in a long slow breath. Hold the breath out as long as is possible.
Begin by practicing from 5-11 minutes and slowly build to 30 minutes.
Egyptians used to do this meditation for supernatural powers. These are very secret sacred teachings. Some of you, out of sheer devotion and love may pick them up and master them.Your elbows will like to separate, your thumbs will like to be loose, your breath will like to revolt, and you are going to fight against all odds.

We held a Meditation and Sat Nam Rasayan® Healing Workshop with Hari Nam Singh at the Healing Heart Center in Hollywood. The topic of the workshop was “Earth and Ether”, part of the series “Heaven and Earth: Healing with Elements in this Incarnation“.
The flow of earth within ourselves increases our tolerance to reality. It allows us to remain flexible enough to contain the experience without escaping into fantasy. Ether connects our earthly experience with the cosmos. Heaven and earth come together.
