Adopt a posture of modesty. Do not fly too high. Allow things to take their course. Expect small successes. Be still.
The hexagram signifies the end and the beginning of all movement. The back is named because in the back are located all the nerve fibres that mediate movement. If the movement of these spinal nerves is brought to a standstill, the ego, with its restlessness, disappears as it were. When a man has thus become calm, he may turn to the outside world. He no longer sees in it the struggle and tumult of individual beings, and therefore he has that true peace of mind which is needed for understanding the great laws of the universe and for acting in harmony with them. Whoever acts from these deep levels makes no mistakes.
“It is fun to be selfish, but for higher values. I want to be greedy so that I may be a really pious man. My greed is that I should be a very good man. I am greedy to serve everybody, I’m not greedy to be a disservice to people.” Yogi Bhajan

It is a difficult time (see yesterday’s reading), though all positive forward progress has not been stopped. As long as we focus on accomplishing something worthwhile rather than merely escaping from our current situation we will find success. Struggling against powerful interests only leads to conflict. Being right doesn’t support our cause. People who rise from poverty without improving the whole merely replace their oppressors by becoming the new oppressors.
What we do in simple terms, step by step, coming from inner strength and just principles will make the difference, producing meaningful change and ultimate success.
“Sacrifice is the beginning of every love; we all know about it, but we do not practice it. To subject yourself is to receive the object, but how many can subject themselves?” Yogi Bhajan

We have full on social and moral stagnation due to the illegitimate ascent of immoral and self-serving people to positions of power. The bad news is that they will continue to follow their compulsion to serve and implement their pernicious agenda as long as it is allowed and until it is convenient to their self interest to change course. The good news is that they are feeling some shame. That bodes well for the long term. But, nothing will come of it until the time is right for a change. Righteous people can only stand by and witness the decay and destruction until the tides of the time change, when they can again exert influence and resolve never to let it happen again. In the meantime, they must be content to remain sane and let the flow of the time take its course.

Be modest in your seeking solutions to deficiencies and imbalances. Count on success with small strides.
Extend the joy that comes from within. You are blessed by the grace of God; bless the world in God’s grace. That is your impact. That is your legacy.

Leadership is so broken that even the most insignificant people are able to take charge. Prosperity may be around the corner, but it will take a seismic shock to facilitate its return. The structure must be shaken to its core. Step up.
“Who am I and what do I know? These are questions that man has to ask himself. He must realize the unknown of him and become the total known self. This is destiny.” Yogi Bhajan

Find your niche in fellowship. When you find common attraction in your hearts, whatever separates you from others will dissolve and joy will replace sadness. Then grace will come and all can live in harmony.
Kongfu (Confucius) says of this:
Life leads the thoughtful man on a path of many windings.
Now the course is checked, now it runs straight again.
Here winged thoughts may pour freely forth in words,
There the heavy burden of knowledge must be shut away in silence.
But when two people are at one in their inmost hearts,
They shatter even the strength of iron or of bronze.
And when two people understand each other in their inmost hearts,
Their words are sweet and strong, like the fragrance of orchids.
